Application to the Meeting Registration Form and enclosing an additional
$90. Associate Members add $25. Membership includes a subscription to
PHOTOCHEMISTRY AND
PHOTOBIOLOGY.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER REGISTRATION
Registrants in the Associate Member category must enclose a copy of a university
ID or letter certifying eligibility signed by department head/advisor.
SPOUSE/GUEST
This category permits a guest or spouse of the participant to attend social
functions at cost to the Society. This is a social registration - to be admitted
to a scientific session you MUST be registered as a participant.
BANQUET
A special banquet is scheduled for the night of Tuesday, July 13. This function
is one of the highlights of the meeting - an opportunity to visit informally
with colleagues and enjoy an excellent meal as well. The cost is $40 per
person (Early fee) for participants and their guests. To encourage Associate
Member participation, a reduced Early rate of $20 is offered. Student ID
or letter certifying eligibility is required.

CHECKS
Checks must be written on US banks in US funds or for the equivalent amount
in foreign currency on a foreign bank. Fees quoted are in US dollars.
CREDIT CARDS
The American Society for Photobiology accepts Visa or Mastercard for
payment of registration and other fees. Please include credit card type,
number and expiration date.

EARLY REGISTRATION
To take advantage of the "early" discounted rate, registration must be postmarked
on or before May 21, 1999.
ADVANCE REGISTRATION
Registration may be made in the "advance" category between May 22 and
June 25, 1999. After this date registration must be made at the meeting
and at the higher rate.
REFUNDS
Registrants must request refunds in writing. Refund requests will not be
honored after June 30, 1999. There will be a $25 handling fee for
any registration cancellation. All refunds will be made after the meeting.
RECEIPTS, BADGES AND PROGRAMS
Receipts, badges and programs will be available at the meeting registration
desk. Badges must be worn to all sessions and meal functions. Hotel security
will admit only participants wearing badges to Society functions.
GRAND HYATT - WASHINGTON, DC
A special room rate of $139.00 per night single and $169 double
occupancy has been arranged at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
Currently, all occupancy, state and local sales taxes for Washington equal 14.5%. This makes the above rates $159.16 and $193.51 respectively. The double rate is for 2 persons sharing a room and is equivalent to $96.76 per person.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Getting to the Grand Hyatt from the airport
is easy. Shuttle, limo, taxi and Metro are just a few of the ways.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER ACCOMMODATIONS AVAILABLE
A limited number of rooms at the Grand Hyatt are available for Associate
Members only in double, triple or quad occupancy at the rate of $99
per night per room ($113.36 inclusive of taxes). Important: Reservations
in this category must be sent to the ASP Office. We will forward your reservation
to the hotel.
In order for your request for a room at the student rate to be processed:
You must make your own roommate arrangements before you send in the hotel
reservation form. NOTE: The ASP Office will not make assignments
of roommates. Reservations without roommates listed can not be processed.

Only 15 rooms are vailable at the student rate. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bedding - 2 double beds.
Complete the Hotel Reservation Form in the centerfold section and mail or fax directly to the ASP Office. Be sure to indicate the name(s) of the persons sharing the room. Also include a copy of your student ID or a letter certifying eligibility with your reservation.
HOTEL RESERVATION CARD
To make reservations at the Grand Hyatt, complete the
Hotel Reservation Form. Make sure you
indicate arrival and departure dates as your reservation cannot be processed
without this information.
A check for the first night's deposit must accompany your reservation or, if you wish, the deposit may be charged to a major credit card. Please furnish the number, type of credit card, and expiration date in the space indicated.
Mail to: Grand Hyatt Washington, Attention: Reservations, 1000 H Street, Washington, DC, 20001. Make check payable to Grand Hyatt Washington. Deposit will be credited to your account at the hotel.
To make your hotel reservations by phone, call 202-582-1234. To make reservations by FAX, send your request to the attention of the Reservations Manager at 202-628-1641. You will need to indicate that you are with the American Society for Photobiology to receive the special group rate.
HOTEL DEADLINE
It is important that you make your reservations for the hotel by June
15, 1999. After that date rooms will be on a space available basis only,
and at their regular higher rates.
CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES
To change or cancel your reservation, notify the Grand Hyatt as soon as possible.
However, to avoid being charged for the room, reservations must be canceled
72 hours prior to scheduled arrival.
ROOMMATE LISTING SERVICE
Anyone wishing to share a room during the meeting may contact the ASP Office
and ask to be put on a Roommate list. You will need to furnish your arrival
and departure dates, phone number and roommate preference (male/female; smoker/
non-smoker). We will furnish matching names and you may contact the person(s)
directly to make your joint accommodation arrangements.
